New car smell
So it has been SOOO long since I last updated this blog. Hershey had a pretty great summer with several trips to the dog park, lots of sunny weather, and lots of visits with the Tanners.
When we went off to Ottawa to get married (yay!) Hershey stayed at the kennel and did pretty well being checked in. When we came back to pick her up a week and a half later, we pulled up in the car to see her sitting out in the sun behind the chain link fence. We got to peek on her for a little while, but then moved the car to pick her up. She was SO happy to see us - and the kind people at the kennel put a pink bandana around her neck to match our wedding colours!
In recent weeks, Hershey's been really playful. She's growling and playing keep-away with her toys a lot. She's calmed down a lot compared to when we first got her, but she's still up for any type of fun.
Today we took Hershey in the new (to me car) for a ride, but she got sick. It was the first time in over a year that she's been sick in a vehicle - perhaps it's something about the previous owner - she also had an unhappy run in with John last year - she's such a nervous nelly!
Anyhow, we are looking forward to staying home with Hershey all winter - no stressful plane ride this year. It'll also mean less love from the the doggy grandparents or Tess, but perhaps there'll be the opportunity for more visits in the future.
Promissing to post more often!
