Home Alone Girls

We've had a very busy and interesting time on our own while Chris has been away on his conference. For instance, today we walked (in the rain!) all the way to the great wholesale pet store (about 2 KM's away), bought a few fun things, then walked back home. Hersh is exhausted now!

This is the toy we got for Hersh, it's kind of creepy (note its feet/foot - weird!)

Shopping!

Hershey and I went to 2 PetSmarts this weekend - she did FANTASTIC! She was very good with the other dogs there, and all the people too.

She enjoyed smelling the treat isle, and was really interested in the toys, especially the ones that she has at home! A great experience, we shall definitely try it again!

Keeping Busy

While Chris has been away, we have been trying to keep each other occupied with walks, lots of running around in the backyard and playing in the house (cuz it's getting cold!).

We recently found a ball that we gave Hershey about a year ago, that was, uh "repurposed" from a thank you gift from UNBC GSA several years ago. She loves it because it's kind of squishy but still very strong and can withhold being chewed.

And here's one of Hershey just being silly, showing her "tummy"

Autumn!

It's been too long since I last posted!

So much has been happening! First off, after the white dog episode, we washed all of Hershey's blankets in case of fleas or ticks, and then I decided to wash all of Hershey's toys too. Some were looking rather grimy, others were covered in fur! Hershey didn't quite understand what was going on...

The net bag was useful for the toys where I had to take elaborate squeekers out and wash them with their fluffy innards exposed!

Hershey didn't look too impressed!

She was quite helpful pulling the toys out of the dryer though! That was a fun game for her :)

We have enjoyed some really great outings with Hershey in the past month or so. She's been invited over to the Tanners a few times and it has been good. She's quite respectful of Trinity and Scooter's toys. She was even left alone with them for about 30 minutes once and luckily there were three dogs still when the people returned! She's been a pretty good host to the Tanners too; she loves Ariel and Brian, but isn't quite sure how to engage in play with Trinity! Poor Trinner is terrified, but Hershey just really wants to chase or be chased!

The dog park has also been pretty good. Hershey got along okay with most dogs on our recent visit. Her she is walking with some of the random dogs there.

That blur is her butt as she's running to go see the dogs!

Here's another beauty pic of Hershey with Chris at the park!

Speaking of Chris, he left for China a day ago. Hershey and I have been busy talking walks, cleaning the house, and today, raking the leaves. Hersh got to be tied outside in the front yard while I raked and bagged all the leaves.
