Summer Lovin'
Okay - well Hershey did avoid the horny poodles at the dog park - so it's not exactly a summer of love; but I do have to say that Hersh has been having a pretty great summer.
First off - we celebrated Hershey's 3rd Birthday back on June 10th. I got back home from my conference with lots of presents in tow (a chirping blue jay stuffie, a beautiful Australian Shepperd stuffie) to add to the gift I got her already (super loud squeeky rubber ball thingie with feet) and the gifts that my parents got for Hershey too (yellow squeeky bone-shapped stuffie, tennis ball on a rope loop). Chris also gave her the huge aligator stuffie he got at Old Navy last year (2 for 1 with the big bear stuffie). Hershey was totally spoiled!
Watch Hershey say "thank you" to my parents for the gift!
We've been pretty good at taking the Hersh for walks and to the dog park - in fact, this past long weekend she went twice! She's been getting better at dealing with strangers and distractions, but it's no where near perfect yet.
One super cute thing that happened at our last dog park visit was that Hershey encountered a mini-schnauzer that looked just like Scooter! She kept smelling him and looking at him really strangely to figure out whether this was Scoots or some kind of imposter!
